Every child deserves the chance to learn, play and discover in nature. Help us expand our successful Wilder Schools programme so more children across Worcestershire can experience the wellbeing, confidence and wonder that outdoor learning brings.

Too many children are growing up disconnected from nature. Opportunities to learn and play outdoors are declining, while concerns around wellbeing, physical inactivity and speech and language development continue to grow. Schools recognise the value of outdoor learning but often lack the time, resources and specialist support to make it happen. Without action, more children will miss out on the proven benefits that spending time in nature can bring.
We will extend our successful Wilder Schools programme for a further 12 months, helping more schools across Worcestershire make outdoor learning a regular part of school life. Through training, practical support and resources, teachers will gain the confidence and skills to deliver engaging learning experiences beyond the classroom. This will give thousands more children opportunities to learn, explore and connect with nature while supporting their wellbeing, development and education.
