Your support will help to provide free singing workshops for young people and bursaries for those who would otherwise miss out on life-changing residential courses. The benefits of these music-making activities are clear: young people feel encouraged, confident and inspired.

Young people are missing out on the life-changing benefits of singing because they do not have access to opportunities. The least deprived children are three times more likely to sing in a choir than the most deprived children (Children of the North and the Centre for Young Lives). These young people lack the confidence, knowledge or resources to take their singing further. Our programmes are specifically designed to address this by providing accessible opportunities for everyone.
With the support of donors, National Youth Choir will equip young people, who may otherwise miss out, with access to high-quality music provision. We will deliver our SING! programme, bringing free extracurricular music activities to 300 young people aged 9 to 15 in state schools. We will also provide financial assistance towards course fees and travel expenses for 46 financially disadvantaged choir members.
