For 15 years, Body Politic has inspired thousands of children and young people through hip hop dance. Now we're creating a permanent home in Oxford to elevate an underrepresented art form, widen access to creativity, nurture talent and build on strong foundations for generations to come.

Young people need accessible, high-quality creative spaces where they can build confidence, improve wellbeing and feel they belong. Yet opportunities remain unequal, particularly in hip hop dance, which is underrepresented despite its popularity. Oxford lacks a dedicated home for this art form, limiting access to consistent training, performance and progression. Without the right infrastructure, young people and artists miss opportunities to develop, connect and thrive.
Body Politic will create a permanent home for hip hop dance in the heart of Oxford: an inclusive, accessible hub where children, young people and artists can train, create, perform and belong. Building on 15 years of proven impact in the city, the space will expand access to high-quality creative opportunities, strengthen pathways into the arts, nurture emerging talent and provide the infrastructure needed for an underrepresented art form to flourish.
