Last year, UKHarvest redistributed 445 tonnes of food, providing more than 100,000 instances of support and welcoming more than 30,000 visitors to our programmes across both West Sussex and London. This enables us to educate and connect communities, tackle hunger and prevent food waste.

UKHarvest was established in 2017 to prevent surplus food from across the supply chain going to waste by sharing it with food insecure or environmentally aware households. We support communities with wraparound advice and support, whilst delivering food and nutritional education. Food surplus is a global challenge, responsible for 8-10% of global greenhouse gas emissions, and more than 10% of families are food insecure. We tackle both issues with our innovative, community-led model of support.

We redistribute the equivalent of over 1,000,000 meals a year via our Community Food Hubs, School Grub Clubs, Community Grub Clubs and Nourish Hub, our community space based in Shepherds Bush, London. This means that over 30,000 families are eating better, cooking better and spending less on food. We can't do this without our core team of logistics and warehousing experts, chefs, educators and volunteers, or without infrastructure to store, sort and distribute this food safely and efficiently.
