We’re a national charity with local impact, reaching over one million carers of all ages and backgrounds. Through our local services across the UK, we provide practical, emotional and financial support. We’re there where and when carers need us, fighting for a fair deal, fair care and a fair future.

At least six million people in the UK care for someone they love, juggling unseen tasks – from personal care, cooking and managing medication, to appointments, handling finances and providing emotional support. Caring holds families and communities together, but too often it comes at a significant emotional, physical and financial cost. No carer should be pushed to crisis point by caring. Every carer should get support where and when they need it and have the same opportunities as everyone else.

We're a national charity with local impact. We work with a network of over 130 carer organisations, helping reach carers where and when support is needed most. We also work with government, funders and the wider social care system to strengthen local services, improve carers’ lives and ensure support is recognised as essential to health and care. Together, we provide grants, respite care, advice and day-to-day help, deliver evidence-based programmes and campaign to give carers a stronger voice.
