Christmas is a precious time for families, but never more so than when a loved one is living with a life-limiting illness or in the final weeks of life. Without expert care close by, many people face avoidable hospital admissions and the risk of spending their final days away from the place they feel most comfortable and at peace. The responsibility for complex care also often falls on the shoulders of partners, children or wider family and friends at a time when they should simply be together.
Over the Christmas period, while other support is often reduced, our team of doctors, nurses and therapists will be on hand, everyday, to provide expert care and symptom management to patients in their own homes or in our 24 hour Inpatient Unit. Every gift helps us deliver comfort and care so patients can focus on being together and creating cherished memories with loved ones. Providing our services free of charge means we are there for all who need them, when and where they need them.
