Demand for hardship support across the Tees Valley continues to rise, requests are increasing each year and are expected to exceed £80,000 this year. We support families and individuals who are struggling to afford everyday essentials, including food, household fuel, beds, white goods, furniture, carpets and school uniform. This includes care leavers, families affected by imprisonment, people fleeing domestic abuse, people who are in low paid jobs and those with disabilities.

Working with trusted referral partners such as schools, probation services, other charities and community based organisations, we provide support when they need it most. Funding is used to purchase items such as supermarket vouchers, household fuel vouchers, white goods, beds, furniture, carpets and school uniform. We respond quickly to the need and help people overcome immediate crisis, establish stable homes and move forward with confidence and dignity.
