Beneficiaries
Families face poverty, hunger, inadequate housing, lack of income and low living standards. This can be devastating to child development, causing illnesses, chronic malnutrition, slow cognitive development and academic failures. Children are at risk of harm because they often play outside all day on their own or are home alone. Without preschool they miss out on the stimulation of learning and structured play, which makes them less likely to succeed at school. Other preschools are a long way.
70 children will benefit from a safe well-equipped local preschool in which to learn and thrive. They will learn to count, enjoy books and play. E3 funded preschools in other communities show how this prepares them for school and improves life chances. Children who miss out on early years education tend to struggle to settle, concentrate on learning and listen to instructions. Investing in preschools brings positive transformation into the lives of the children, their families and their teachers
