We are seeking £10,000 to continue our free Children & Family Holiday Programme. Funding will provide creative activities during every school holiday, including storytelling, art, and family workshops. It will remove financial barriers, ensuring low-income families can access culture close to home.

Many children in Brixton grow up surrounded by creativity but cannot afford to access it. Coldharbour Ward is one of Lambeth's most deprived areas, where rising costs leave many families unable to access affordable school holiday activities. Without free opportunities, many children miss out on experiences that build confidence, curiosity and social skills. Our programme has welcomed more than 1,500 children and families, with demand increasing, but funding is only secured until Summer 2026.
Funding will enable 800+ children and family members experiencing financial hardship to participate in free creative holiday activities throughout the year. We prioritise families living on the Angell Town, Moorlands and Southwyck estates. Children will develop creativity and self-expression through theatre, storytelling, music and movement. Many will experience these activities for the first time. They will make friends, discover new talents and see Brixton House as a place where they belong.
