Children and young people across the UK lack safe, local spaces to socialise, learn and build connections. Youth provision has declined sharply, with a 70% reduction in government funding since 2010, and 62% of young people reporting no access to structured activities (Youth Opportunity Index, 2024). This contributes to isolation, impacts on mental health, increased risk of crime, and limited life opportunities, while demand for trusted youth clubs far exceeds capacity.

We will expand youth club provision across our communities by commissioning qualified youth workers to deliver additional weekly sessions. This will create 80 free extra places for children and young people, reducing waitlists and providing safe, supportive spaces to build confidence, increase wellbeing and promote a sense of community. With your help, we will address gaps in local youth provision and support young people to achieve happier, healthier futures.
