Prison Fellowship brings hope to people in prison, supports the change that helps prevent crime, and equips churches and communities to respond with compassion, practical action and faith. Together, we help restore relationships, transform lives and build safer communities.

Almost 90,000 people will spend this Christmas in prison. Each one represents a family and a community — people experiencing harm and in need of healing, hope and restoration. Without hope and meaningful connections, rehabilitation becomes harder and reoffending more likely. The cycle of crime — and its ripples of harm — continue. According to the Farmer report on prison reform, relationships are fundamentally important if people are to change.
We support family relationships by enabling parents to send a carefully chosen Christmas gift to their children. But we don't stop there. Throughout the year, our volunteers and partner churches continue walking alongside people in prison through a range of programmes that strengthen relationships, encourage personal responsibility and nurture hope. Together, these relationships reduce isolation, support rehabilitation and help build safer communities.
