Many injured and disabled personnel of the Armed Forces and Emergency Services face long-term physical and emotional challenges during or after service. Reducing independence, mobility, confidence, and wellbeing, often leading to isolation and reliance on others. Traditional support does not always meet these combined needs. We address this by providing specially trained assistance dogs that offer practical help and emotional support, helping people regain independence and improve daily life.
We assess individual needs, carefully train and match each dog, and support the introduction of the partnership. Ongoing aftercare ensures both the individual and dog continue to thrive. These partnerships provide practical daily assistance and emotional support, improving independence, confidence, mobility, and wellbeing, and also easing pressure on family members and carers by reducing day-to-day support needs and increasing reassurance.
