Creating a Permanent place of safety for women and girls across Teesside.

Women and girls across Teesside experience abuse, exploitation, poverty, homelessness, addiction, poor mental health and involvement with the criminal justice system. Recovery is often shaped by trauma and a lack of safe, trusted support. Our current premises are not secure long term and could be lost within five years. Without a permanent base, women and girls risk losing access to the consistent, trauma-informed support they rely on.
We will create a permanent trauma-informed Women & Girls Centre where women and girls can access support, safety and belonging under one roof. Designed alongside those who use our services, the space will provide 1:1 support, groups, advocacy and therapeutic interventions. A secure long-term home will ensure women and girls always have a trusted place to turn, helping them stay safer, build confidence, recover from trauma and create positive futures.
