People with ME face NHS services that are inaccessible, disbelief from friends, family, medical professionals and employers, and severe isolation. Decades of chronic under-investment into research means that there are still no accepted treatments or the hope of a cure for the 404,000+ people with ME in the UK, and the 950,000 with ME-like symptoms including long Covid. Our services, research and policy work seek to change this. Your donation will make a difference to the lives of those affected.
We work at individual, community and policy level to change this situation for the adults and children affected by this devastating disease. Our information, support and healthcare services are accessed by over 30,000 people annually. Research led by Action for ME has already uncovered new genetic insights, and we are building on this with new research including Sequence ME & Long Covid. Our policy work ensures the experiences of people with ME, including those severely affected, are heard.
