n Wolverhampton, 35.7% of children are growing up in poverty. For many families, Christmas brings added pressure rather than joy, with parents forced to choose between essentials like heating, food, and presents. Over one in five households face fuel poverty, making winter even harder. Missing out on festive experiences can leave children feeling excluded, affecting their confidence, wellbeing and sense of belonging long term.
With 2,800 members, we create a safe and welcoming place where young people and families feel part of something special. At Christmas, we’ll bring people together through our free Festive Fayre for 500+ families, with food, activities and a visit to Santa. Children will enjoy parties with gifts and a hot meal, while our weekly family sessions offer ongoing support for parents facing winter pressures.
