Our popular peer-lunch club is for older people with HIV - mostly gay men & African people. Getting together with peers is so important for our beneficiaries - helping to alleviate many needs - like loneliness, poverty and poor nutrition. Freshly cooked in-house, this is a very popular service!

Many of our members are now ageing into their 70s and 80s, which is great news given the history of HIV & AIDS. However, as nearly all moved to London to live more freely, this means that family support networks are often absent. In addition, a decades long history of ill-health often means that work-life ended early and private pensions are non-existent. Finally, ageing with HIV tends to also mean other illnesses on top - such as diabetes, cancers, heart problems, and poor mental health.

We'll alleviate some of these problems through offering a friendly & supportive lunch club 3 times each week. We'll be serving up a healthy (but tasty) home-cooked 3-course lunch, with table service provided by our wonderful peer-volunteers. Many of our members told us they struggle with motivation to cook from scratch as they live alone, or struggle financially. A good % of the food is provided for us by our surplus food delivery charity partners, so we're also helping to cut down on waste
