SUDC UK is pioneering crucial medical research to transform the future prediction and prevention of Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC). Right now, there is nothing we can do to save these children, but this campaign has the power to save precious lives and stop this tragedy in its tracks.

SUDC has had limited attention for too long while the incidence is showing no indication of decreasing. Every fortnight in the UK, 1 to 2 seemingly healthy children between 1 and 18 years die suddenly without reason, with SUDC being the 4th leading cause of death in children aged 1-4 years. Currently, we cannot prevent SUDC or identify which children are at risk. We need your help to change this. By funding world class research, we can move closer to giving every child a chance to live.
SUDC UK is the UK’s only national charity dedicated exclusively to making Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC) predictable and ultimately preventable. While SIDS (once known as cot death) has seen a remarkable 80% reduction supported by over 13,000 scientific papers, the rate of SUDC remains unchanged, with fewer than 100 published studies worldwide. Research into SUDC is critically lacking. But with your support, we will fund high-quality studies that deliver answers and save lives.
