Refugee girls in Beirut’s camps face entrenched educational exclusion, poverty, and limited access to safe learning opportunities. Many experience disrupted schooling, digital exclusion, and social isolation amid ongoing economic crisis and regional instability. Without targeted support, girls are at heightened risk of falling further behind in education and opportunity. There is a critical need for safe, consistent, community-based learning that builds skills, confidence, and resilience.
Future Academy’s dedicated, trauma-informed, community-based programme for refugee girls in Beirut creates safe spaces where girls can learn, grow, and be championed by trained staff from their own communities. Through education, digital skills, creative arts, mentorship, and psychosocial support, girls begin to rebuild confidence and hope. In weekly sessions led by female staff, they develop the skills, resilience, and sense of belonging needed to thrive and build brighter futures.
