A child’s first day at school should be the start of a brighter future. PEAS opens doors to quality education across Sub-Saharan Africa, helping young people learn, grow in confidence and flourish from their first lesson to thrive in life beyond school.

At PEAS, we believe that where a young person is born should not determine the quality of education they receive. Across Sub-Saharan Africa, 1 in 3 children are in school but not learning at the levels they need to thrive. Girls and students from underserved communities face the greatest barriers. Without safe, inclusive, quality education, young people are less able to progress, succeed and build brighter futures.

PEAS helps young people access a quality education and brighter futures by running safe, inclusive schools, strengthening teaching and learning, and supporting students across our programmes from the first days in primary school to their final day of secondary. We develop practical approaches in our own schools and share with government partner schools, ensuring even more children build strong foundations, progress with confidence and prepare to thrive.
