Over 25 years, CSSF has combined cultural and educational expertise to give children access to the arts. By taking part, young people who might otherwise miss out will find their voices and unlock the confidence, creativity and aspiration for the future.

Access to arts education is declining for children across the UK, with schools under pressure from all fronts. Reduced arts provision leaves many young people, especially those facing disadvantage, with an ‘enrichment gap’ and fewer opportunities to build the essential skills they need to succeed in life. Creative experiences are not a luxury – they are essential and should be part of every child’s education, no matter their background.
CSSF delivers inclusive, high-quality programmes where young people build aspiration by performing alongside their peers in professional theatres. We prioritise children facing barriers to participation, including those in SEND settings and schools with high levels of disadvantage and limited opportunities to engage with the arts. We work hands-on with young people and train teachers, providing resources to embed creativity in classrooms and ensure meaningful, lasting impact beyond the stage.
