We provide practical and creative support to children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), aged 0-25, and their families. This campaign supports our 'Working World' project, empowering disabled young people as they transition to adulthood.

For young people with SEND, leaving structured education and care can feel like falling off a cliff edge. There are gaps in support services, the support system is complex, and there remains widespread discrimination and social exclusion. This leaves disabled young people without the support, skills, and connections they need, and results in disabled young people are more than three times as likely to be not in education, employment, or training than their non-disabled peers.

Our Working World programme aims to fill the gaps in services for disabled young people as they transition to adulthood. We identify inclusive pathways into work experience and volunteering opportunities, empowering young people with resilience, confidence, skills, and support networks, enabling them to explore their options for their next stage of life in a supportive environment. Following a successful pilot, we are now seeking funding to expand the project to impact more young people.
