We are raising funds to provide lifesaving care, rehabilitation, and safe release for sick, injured, and orphaned hedgehogs, while raising awareness, educating our community, and empowering people to protect this much-loved but rapidly declining species.

Hedgehogs in the wild face multiple growing threats. Habitat loss from development and intensive agriculture has reduced nesting sites and food availability. Roads fragment habitats and cause high numbers of fatalities. Pesticides and slug pellets reduce insect prey and can poison hedgehogs. Garden fencing blocks movement, while climate change disrupts hibernation and causes multiple unsuitable birthing seasons. Injury, disease, and lack of safe refuge all contribute to their rapid decline.
We address these threats through hands-on rescue, veterinary treatment, rehabilitation, and safe release back into suitable habitats. We provide advice on wildlife-friendly gardening, create safer environments, and work with the community to reduce risks such as netting, poisoning, dehydration, drowning, confinement and road danger. Through education, outreach, and partnership working, we empower people to protect hedgehogs, improve habitat connectivity, and support long-term population recovery
