The care system can change lives. Right now it’s falling short. Being taken into care is traumatic. Children are separated from parents and siblings. At Christmas, that feels even harder. For many though, that’s just the beginning. Seven in ten children experience ongoing instability every year, changing home, school or social worker. This repeated trauma impacts relationships, education and mental health. We have to fix the care system and give young people the support and stability they need.
We’re the national charity that’s here to support every child and young person with experience of the care system. They tell us what’s not working. Together, we fight to make change happen. Our Care Advice helpline and direct services have helped thousands of young people to get the support they need, and our movement to change care for good is gathering momentum. With your help, we’ll push for a better care system for future generations.
