Many children with disabilities have undetected sight problems. SeeAbility delivers sight tests in special schools and, most importantly, gives children glasses that truly fit and work. No one should miss a lifetime of moments because they never got the right glasses. Your gift can change that.

Children with learning disabilities are 28 times more likely to have a sight problem — but nearly half have never had an eye test. Signs of poor vision are often wrongly blamed on a child's learning disability. Hospital care can be overwhelming: unfamiliar places, repeated appointments, lack of support to get and use glasses. Even when glasses are prescribed, only 1 in 5 children wear them. Moments of learning, connection and independence slip away.
SeeAbility's model combines specialist sight tests, a dispensing optician and high-quality glasses. NHS England now funds the sight test and basic glasses — a huge milestone after years of campaigning. But we want to ensure every child continues to get the best glasses suited to their complex prescription and fitting needs, at no cost to their families, and the expert help they need to ensure they wear them as prescribed — transforming their confidence, learning and quality of life.
