Many women in Yorkshire face barriers in finding work including low confidence, childcare requirements, and career breaks. Women are 35% more likely than men to be in low‑paid roles, and 1 in 4 lack the confidence to apply for jobs. Without support, unemployment deepens financial insecurity and economic inactivity—especially at Christmas. Smart Works Yorkshire solves this by giving women the confidence, coaching, and clothing they need to succeed.
We help women into work by providing confidence, skills and practical support. Each woman receives one‑to‑one coaching, including career guidance and interview preparation tailored to her goals. To remove barriers, we provide a full interview outfit and, once she secures a role, a capsule work wardrobe. Through coaching, clothing and confidence building, we equip her to move into employment and thrive.
