Locked in a cycle of poverty, without help and support prospects for those in the communities we serve are bleak: 95% of adults have no higher education 58% of adults are unemployed 35% of children live in single parent families 1 in 3 young people are victims of sexual abuse Gangs, violence and malnutrition are commonplace. Our transformational programmes empower individuals with skills, hope and momentum they and their communities need to develop themselves and break this cycle of deprivation.
NewDay United equips, upskills and empowers local people in the most disadvantaged communities to find work and break the cycle of poverty. Our team know first-hand these challenges. Many have been through our courses and are real life examples and success stories of this approach. As we celebrate 10 years of operations in Cape Town, more resources = more capacity to expand and develop our team, our courses and programmes and our impact to transform lives, bringing hope and a future.
