Every year, around 110,000 critically ill children are admitted to hospital. In those devastating moments, we keep families together by providing a 'Home from Home' minutes from their child's bedside. This Christmas, your support will be doubled to help ensure no child faces hospital alone.

Every day almost 300 critically ill children and babies are admitted to intensive care. When a child is admitted to hospital, families often find themselves far from home, travelling long distances, sleeping in uncomfortable hospital chairs or paying for hotels they cannot afford just to be near their child. At a time when families should be focused on their child’s recovery and wellbeing, many worry about where they will sleep, eat or shower. We keep families together when they need it most.
The Sick Children’s Trust provides vital ‘Homes from Home’ where families can stay just minutes from their child’s bedside. At an overwhelming and difficult time, we offer families the support they need to face the day ahead. They can have a hot shower and a comfortable bed to rest, and our caring staff are there to listen and comfort them when they need it. We support over 3,200 families each year, but it costs £40 a night to support a family and we rely entirely on donations.
