Every year, we provide 1,200 people in poverty across Edinburgh with healthy meals and wellbeing support. Our meals are essential to people’s health and dignity. Made with care, each meal is a reminder that people are not facing life's challenges alone.

More than 89,000 people in Edinburgh live in poverty, including 18,000 children. Every week, 25 people join our service. Many people are skipping meals or choosing between heating and eating, while facing challenges such as disability, homelessness, or abuse. For people who are housebound, accessing a foodbank can be impossible. Without proper nourishment, these lived experiences have lasting effects on people’s health, wellbeing, and futures.

Meeting people’s immediate needs is the first step to breaking the poverty cycle - giving people time and energy. We turn surplus food into healthy meals, delivered to homes, temporary housing, or collection points. Deliveries make good food truly accessible. We also offer wellbeing calls and pathways to tailored services. People say we have relieved anxiety and helped them find longer-term care and solutions. In our last survey, 97% of respondents said their health and wellbeing had improved.
