A community in Uganda have had PovertySwap friends support to establish and build a skills centre and kindergarten for local women and children. They now need to build a school building for Primary level education. To most poor families the cost of accessing other schools is too much.

The efforts of this project have already prepared children for access to primary school, however the families find the cost of essentials to attend school beyond their ability to pay. Basic items like pencils, paper, books, bags, even toilet paper and brooms are not included but required.
Our trusted partners will lead the project to build a primary school with 7 rooms and have submitted their plan to us. Their planning, reporting and impact process is always excellent and the school will be run with local needs as a priority. This will create equity and accessibility for children in the local community. The funds raised will supply the building of the property on land secured in July 2026.
