Our human rights are at risk. Anti-rights movements are gaining momentum at home and abroad, and our equality laws and human rights protections are under attack. Rapid, complex changes to the law and a lack of accessible legal information leave people unclear on their rights and how to defend them – especially on protest, free speech, and surveillance. Cuts to legal aid and frontline services have hit communities hard, leaving many without the support they need.

Liberty provides in-person training and specialist legal support to different community groups, including young people, activists, disabled people, students, migrants and homelessness groups. We also run an online information hub, keeping the public informed about laws that affect their rights. Liberty is one of the only organisations in the country delivering free human rights legal training and information and we urgently need your support to continue delivering our projects in 2027.
