Children from low-income families are 3 times more likely to get a degree if they have taken part in arts activities at school. With schools facing increasing financial pressures, students have less access to cultural learning and arts education. As a national museum and charity, our mission is to help.

Our free school sessions provide vital spaces for students to express themselves, learn to think critically and enhance their communication skills. Each year, we engage thousands of students, aged 5 to 18, prioritising state schools. With access to our world-class collection of paintings, sculpture, arms and armour and decorative arts, our curriculum-linked learning sessions are led by experienced educators and support learning in Art and Design, History, English, Mathematics and more.
