Knowle West is in the top 10% most deprived wards in England, with some postcodes in the top 1%, facing poorer outcomes across health, education, poverty and employment. Yet it is also a neighbourhood rich in creativity, resilience and community spirit. Now more than ever, people need spaces to come together for collective imagination, storytelling and making - spaces that challenge stereotypes, build confidence, reduce isolation and open up new futures for people and their community.

KWMC creates welcoming, inclusive spaces where local people can access creative opportunities, digital skills, youth programmes and community-led innovation. We connect residents with artists, researchers and industry partners to turn ideas into action. By combining arts, creative tech and social change, we provide opportunities for people to build confidence, develop pathways into education and employment, and shape solutions to issues affecting their lives, communities and futures.
