MSA is a rare, fast-progressing, incurable neurodegenerative disease, and diagnosis is devastating. People gradually lose mobility, speech, and independence while remaining mentally aware. Yet MSA is poorly understood, even by many health professionals. 25% of those affected receive no further guidance after diagnosis, leaving them isolated at a deeply frightening time. Families find themselves forced to navigate the condition without clear support, guidance, or an informed healthcare system.

Every person with MSA deserves expert care. Our specialist nurses make that possible. They are there from diagnosis to end of life, guiding people through symptom management, daily challenges, supporting informed decisions about the future, and attending neurology clinics to translate complexity into clarity. They train health professionals, facilitate peer support groups and signpost people to research trials and vital services. A named, trusted expert in the most frightening of journeys.
