Since 2010, £1.2B in youth service cuts have closed hundreds of clubs, leaving a nationwide deficit of safe spaces according to the NYA. In Wandsworth, this crisis is evident as teens face London’s second-highest rate of mental health needs. On local social housing estates, young people can face trauma from poverty, unemployment, and emotional distress. Without positive outlets, they risk isolation, school exclusion, and crime, creating an urgent need for safe, accessible environments.
We provide open-access, free safe spaces (Youth Clubs) directly within Wandsworth estates. In line with NYA frameworks, we deploy a place-based approach, investing in professional youth workers who act as consistent, trusted adults. Through sports, arts, educational workshops, and a hot meal every session, our team gets to know each young person as an individual and builds deep, trusting relationships to help them break, isolation, heal trauma and confidently discover positive pathways.
