Emerging theatre artists face shrinking opportunities, rising living costs and declining arts funding. Many early-career playwrights, directors and producers struggle to access professional development, mentoring and industry support. Without investment, vital new voices risk being excluded from the arts, weakening the future diversity, creativity and sustainability of British theatre.

The Finborough Theatre supports emerging artists through one-to-one mentoring, script development, workshops, rehearsed readings and professional productions. We provide early-career playwrights, directors and performers with opportunities to develop their work, build experience and connect with audiences, helping ensure that talented new voices can thrive within British theatre regardless of background or financial circumstance.
