Kingston Carers Network (KCN) exists to ensure unpaid carers are recognised, valued and enabled to live and care well. Taking on caring responsibilities can be an isolating experience, taking its toll on carers' own health and wellbeing. This campaign aims to address the social isolation and poor mental health that can accompany caring by providing opportunities for carers in Kingston to connect with each other and take a break from caring through engagement with creative arts.
Kingston Carers Network will provide monthly creative arts activities for both adult and young carers across the network. Our Creative Connections for Carers project will provide the opportunity for carers to meet and connect with others carers in Kingston, as well as engage with creative arts activities. This will not only tackle the social isolation many unpaid carers experience, but also enable them to develop new skills and knowledge.
