Liver disease can affect anyone, at any age. Yet despite impacting thousands of families across the UK, it receives far less attention than other serious conditions. Too many miss an early diagnosis, leading to liver failure, transplants or premature death. Without action, more lives will be lost.

Liver disease is rising fast and often goes unnoticed until it’s too late. Three quarters of adults with cirrhosis are diagnosed in hospital, often when treatment options are limited. Tragically, one in four diagnosed late will die within three months. Babies diagnosed late often need a liver transplant. Help us save lives through earlier diagnosis.
By raising awareness of the signs, symptoms and risk factors of liver disease, we can help more people recognise when to seek help sooner. We raise awareness amongst the public and healthcare professionals, provide patients and families with trusted information and support, and work with government and health bodies to strengthen diagnosis pathways so more people can be diagnosed earlier, access treatment sooner, and have a better chance of survival.
