75% of all mental health conditions become established by age 24, and poor wellbeing is more likely among young people affected by inequality and disadvantage. Centre 33 helps remove barriers for young people facing challenges including mental health, housing issues and caring responsibilities. “I had no support. I was alone and had Centre 33 not been there and helped me, I honestly don't believe I would be here today.” Last year, 91% of young people came to us with mental health needs.
Sometimes all it takes is a safe space and someone to listen. Centre 33's “Someone to Talk to” drop-in service provides free, accessible and confidential support for young people up to age 25 across Cambridgeshire. We create welcoming and non-judgemental spaces where young people can talk openly about their challenges and access advice, information and support tailored to their needs. Last year, 77% of young people reported improvements after their first therapeutic appointment alone.
