Suicide has reached a two decade high in the UK, with suicide now killing 19 people a day. It is the leading cause of death for all people aged 35 and under and all men under 50. Part of this is because of a surge in demand. NHS mental health services have become increasingly overstretched. A 2022 study by the Royal College of Psychiatrists found that 78% of people resorted to emergency or crisis services in the period between assessment and their first appointment.
We provide one service: free, face-to-face appointments for adults experiencing suicidal thoughts, offering a safe and compassionate space to speak openly about how they feel. Appointments are delivered 9am to 9pm at one of our four sites in London, situated in Pimlico, King’s Cross, Hammersmith and Liverpool Street. Our service is led by a team of highly trained volunteers, supervised by an advisory team of leading experts in the fields of psychiatry and psychotherapy.
