Every day over 1,000 people in the UK receive a cancer diagnosis, and for many the emotional impact can be just as overwhelming as the physical treatment. Cancer can be incredibly isolating, leaving people feeling disconnected from family, friends and the world around them. At times like Christmas, when connection and togetherness are everywhere, those feelings of loneliness can feel even greater. Too many people facing cancer feel forgotten when what they need most is human connection.

From Me to You tackles cancer-related isolation by creating human connection through our Donate a Letter programme. Volunteers across the UK write handwritten letters and cards which are carefully reviewed and distributed through hospitals, cancer centres and directly to individuals at home. Alongside this, we work with local communities, schools and workplaces to encourage meaningful volunteering, helping more people affected by cancer feel supported, remembered and less alone.
