“Ministry of Stories helps me do my own stories, not rewrite somebody else's” Olive, 9 Every young person deserves the chance to write their story. When they are given the inspiration and support to do so, young people’s confidence blooms and ambitions soar. Our borough is full of young people with vibrant imaginations, but there are barriers that make accessing creative opportunities unequal. We exist to ensure that no young person in our community misses out on the benefits of creativity.
At a time when young people are in need of connection, confidence and hope, we use the power of creative writing to support young writers like Olamiposi, who told us: “Ministry of Stories has helped me to develop my self-esteem and makes me feel capable of being the best I can be!” With every donation doubled, your support will help us with our move to a new, bigger home with two workshop spaces: that’s twice as many young people feeling proud, twice as many stories and twice as much joy.
