St Andrew’s is based in the top 5% of most deprived neighbourhoods in England (IOD2025). Most of the young people come from families on a tight family budget and some live in crowded homes with limited space for play. St Andrew’s provides a vital space for young people to develop socially, learn new skills, and stay active - supporting their personal development to help them to thrive in the future.
St Andrew’s has supported local young people for 160 years. Open 48 weeks of the year, our team of Youth Workers deliver a programme of sports, creative, well-being and skills activities to support the informal education of young people aged 5-18. At St Andrew’s young people are encouraged to become more active, creative and curious – increasing their confidence to help them become well-rounded adults and creating treasured memories and friendships that last a lifetime.
