RWC has been working with women asylum-seekers, refugees and survivors of trafficking and their children since 2004. We work with women as early as possible when they are in most need of support, right through until they get their status and are looking to get into further education or work.

Impact areas
The women we work with have complex needs including, social isolation, have experienced abuse and/or are at risk of further abuse, have anxiety or depression, face poverty, health issues, destitution and lack confidence. Key barriers are lack of a safe space, language barriers, lack of money and childcare as well as facing barriers to accessing support, education and employment. This impacts integration and being able to lead a full and fulfilling life.
The solutions we offer are a safe women only space where women can access holistic services. They can attend English classes, art and creative workshops, learn all about health, mental and physical, and preventative measures they can take. They can directly access 1:1 or group support and also meet other partners/organisation in the area that attend our drop-in. There are also activities for their young children, food and refreshments.
