Breast cancer affects 1 in 7 women in the UK, with a diagnosis every nine minutes. Many women experience anxiety, isolation, loss of confidence and fear of recurrence. Research shows 75% feel more socially isolated following diagnosis, while many receive little emotional or mental health support. As demand for services grows and NHS breast cancer teams face increasing pressures, more women are left without the practical, psychological and peer support they need.

Future Dreams provides expert-led, holistic support for women affected by breast cancer. Through Future Dreams House and online services, we offer peer support, specialist nurse appointments, counselling and wellbeing programmes. Funding will help expand accessible support across the UK, including for underserved communities, reducing isolation, improving emotional wellbeing, building resilience and empowering women to navigate life during and beyond breast cancer.
