Every year we receive increasing numbers of referrals for families experiencing significant hardship, including those living in temporary accommodation, fleeing domestic abuse, managing on low incomes, or facing unexpected life crises. Many parents are already facing difficult economic choices, or a Christmas of anxiety and heartbreak. Christmas places additional pressure on already stretched household budgets, and without support, some children would receive few or no presents this Christmas.
Our Christmas Project supports children (aged 0–18 years) who have been referred to us by schools, social workers, health professionals and charities. Every child receives a Christmas sack filled with brand-new gifts chosen specifically for their age, interests and needs. These sacks are handmade by our dedicated volunteer sewing team. By taking time to understand their hobbies and wishes, we can create a Christmas experience that feels personal and meaningful, restoring joy to families in need.
