It now takes on average 9 years and 4 months to receive a diagnosis of endometriosis in the UK. Endometriosis can have a devastating impact on all aspects of life: education, career, relationships, fertility, and quality of life. Despite this, it is a disease that most people have never heard of. Long waits for diagnosis and limited access to specialist support leave people struggling to understand symptoms, navigate healthcare and manage the physical and emotional impact of endometriosis.
We will expand our specialist endometriosis nurse helpline providing medically informed advice and support. In 2025 it helped 1,800 people to make confident decisions about their health while helping to relieve pressure on NHS services. We will open two additional evenings weekly. We will also introduce monthly expert support days, with a physiotherapist, psychotherapist, and dietitian each responding to calls and emails and delivering live webinars, to be shared on YouTube to widen access.
