Ol Pejeta’s Research and Ecological Monitoring Unit (REMU) has outgrown its infrastructure. Relying on a single vehicle creates a severe operational bottleneck. We cannot deploy teams for urgent carnivore tracking, human-wildlife conflict mitigation, or vet captures if our sole vehicle is miles away supplying our new Research Centre or conducting habitat surveys. Sharing one vehicle across growing, concurrent field tasks delays emergency responses and compromises vital conservation data.

With £18,000 already pledged, the funds raised from this campaign will go towards the balance of a dedicated 4x4 research vehicle. This second vehicle will instantly double our REMU’s operational capacity. It ensures that essential logistics and staff movement for the Research Centre run seamlessly—without ever compromising or halting our active field-based wildlife monitoring, daily security patrols, and ecological data collection.
