Around 350 school-aged children are bereaved each year in Oxfordshire. The death of a close family member is an Adverse Childhood Experience, with 1/3 of bereaved children falling into the 'at risk' category for emotional and behavioural difficulties within 2 years of the death. Young bereaved people are showing signs of increased anxiety and more complex mental health issues, heightening their vulnerability. Yet there is no statutory provision for children's grief support in Oxfordshire.

SeeSaw provides appropriate and timely support to reduce the emotional, psychological and mental health consequences of bereavement. Our support is determined by the needs of the individual child and accessible as and when needed up to the age of 18. Our Clinical Team offer 1-1 support, advice to parents and carers, online resources, as well as training for schools and professionals. SeeSaw helps children understand and manage their grief, enabling them to build hope for their future.
