4.5 million young people are growing up in poverty in the UK. Among the young people we work with, 1 in 10 has been suspended or permanently excluded, and 1 in 3 of those eligible for free school meals is persistently absent. A quarter of disadvantaged pupils achieve grades 5+ in English and maths GCSEs, less than half the rate of their non-disadvantaged peers. Early intervention is critical, but a fragmented system allows issues to escalate into crises.

Working directly with schools, we use unique data methodology and trusted relationships to proactively identify children and young people at the tipping point of need. Then, working through our team of trusted, in-school Link Workers and enabled by joined-up local services and funding, we engage them in two-year Impact Programmes that are tailored to help them build their specific social, emotional, and academic skills. Support includes tuition, mental health support and positive activities.
