Our mission at the Princess Project is to empower and equip vulnerable mothers and their families to build healthy, resilient, and thriving lives; to reduce isolation, strengthen families, and break cycles of poverty and disadvantage.

We are tackling the linked issues of social isolation and poor emotional and mental health amongst mums- recent research has found that mums in deprived communities are twice as likely to take their own lives than those in more affluent areas. We are also addressing financial hardship amongst families with young children. Research from Little Village/Joseph Rowntree Foundation found that a third of UK families with children under 5 are now living in poverty.
Our Mums' Hubs are a safe, welcoming, non-judgemental space for isolated mums to visit and find support and community, and are also a place for children to meet and learn to play with their peers. This, plus one-to-one support, improves emotional and mental health and wellbeing of mums and children. Totcycle, our baby and toddler goods exchange, provides essentials such as nappies, formula, toys, clothing and equipment (e.g. cots and prams) to families in need, reducing financial hardship.
